Inclusions

  • Briefing before the tour: There will be a briefing the day before the tour. It will be at around 7:00 p.m. Our staff will lead it. Please tell us the name of the hotel where you are staying in Cusco.
  • Hotel transfer: We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and take you directly to the Ollantaytambo train station.
  • Guided tour: A professional guide will accompany you during your visit at Machu Picchu, providing valuable insights and information.
  • Machu Picchu Tickets: we Obtain and secure the entrance fee to Machu Picchu. (Subject to availability)
  • Train Round Trip: A comfortable and scenic ride from Ollantaytambo to the charming town of Aguas Calientes departing at 12:36 or 12:55. and On the way back you will take the train at 14:30 or 14:55. These trains are comfortable and pleasant. You can enjoy the beautiful views of the countryside during your return trip.
  • Bus up and down : We will arrange a round trip bus between Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu.
  • Accommodation: Spend a night at a hostel in Aguas Calientes, where you can rest up for the next day's adventure.
  • Return Minibus: The bus will be waiting for you at the train station in Ollantaytambo to take you to Cusco.

Excludes

  • Meals: The package price does not include any meals, such as breakfasts, lunches, dinners, or snacks. You'll need to budget for and make your own arrangements for meals at local restaurants or cafes in the towns you visit.
  • Hot springs : If you want to relax at the Aguas Calientes thermal baths, there is a small entrance fee of 20 soles per person. You can pay this fee when you arrive.
  • Additional expenses: Personal expenses, such as souvenirs, additional activities, or other incidentals that you may incur during the tour are not included in the package. You should set aside funds to cover these additional expenses according to your personal preferences.

  • Original Passport: You can't use a copy of your passport; you need to make sure your original passport is valid for at least six months to enter and leave Peru. Also, make sure your passport has two blank pages for the stamps when you come in and out.
  • Student ID: This is only required if you have booked the Salkantay Trek as a student. You must have a student card issued by your university (up to the age of 25). It should contain the following details: university information, personal information, a student photo and a valid date no later than 31 December of the year of travel.

Itinerary

Day 1Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes.

Your adventure begins at 8:00–10:00 am. Our driver will pick you up and take you on a scenic drive to the Ollantaytambo train station. The drive will take one hour and 30 minutes..

Board the train at Ollantaytambo between 12:36 and 12:55 p.m. The train will leave for a 1-hour-and-45-minute ride through beautiful landscapes. You will arrive in Aguas Calientes, a town known for its hot springs.

Settle into your accommodation and enjoy the evening at leisure. We recommend indulging in the natural hot springs to relax and prepare for the next day’s exploration.

Day 2Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Citadel.

We depart Aguas Calientes early, taking a short bus ride up to the majestic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, ready to uncover its mysteries with the first light.

Embark on a two hour guided walking tour of Machu Picchu, where you’ll learn about Inca history, architecture, and the spiritual significance of this ancient wonder. Your knowledgeable guide will share insights into the lives of the Incas and the construction of this awe-inspiring site.

After the tour, enjoy free time to wander through the ruins, soak in the panoramic views, and if time permits, challenge yourself with a climb up Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain for breathtaking views over the citadel.

In the afternoon, descend to Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, a bus will be waiting to escort you back to Cusco, where you’ll reflect on the unforgettable memories of your Machu Picchu adventure.
