Itinerary

Day 1CUSCO - CUSIPATA - PALCOYO - CUSCO

You’ll be picked up from your respective hotel at 4:00 am. From there, we’ll travel to the town of Cusipata (a 2-hour journey), where we’ll stop to enjoy a typical breakfast from our region of Cusco. After recharging our energy, we’ll continue traveling for another hour to the district of Comba Pata, where we’ll find the Checacupe Bridge (3441 meters above sea level), a suspension bridge made of straw by the Quechua natives to facilitate access to the Inca Empire, as well as the colonial bridge made of stone. Next, we’ll travel to the starting point of the hike. Upon arrival, we’ll immediately be greeted by the sight of colorful mountains and the stone forest, consisting of rocky formations forming a geological labyrinth.

The hike takes approximately 45 minutes from the beginning to the viewpoint, with an elevation gain from 4800 meters above sea level to 4900 meters above sea level. After enjoying the guided tour and paying homage to our guardian deities “Apus”, especially the imposing Ausangate, considered the guardian deity of the city of Cusco, we’ll spend over an hour exploring before returning to the restaurant for lunch and finally heading back to Cusco. We’ll arrive in the city of Cusco between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
