Begin your journey with a transfer to the port of the Madre de Dios River. Here, you’ll embark on an hour-long cruise to Monte Amazon Lodge. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with a welcome meeting and a refreshing typical fruit juice. Settle into your room before embarking on an introductory two-hour rainforest walk.

Led by experienced local guides, explore trails rich in ancient trees and diverse wildlife, including toucans, orioles, trogons, macaws, monkeys, and more. This immersive walk takes place adjacent to the Tambopata National Reserve, showcasing the forest’s magic and biodiversity.

Venture to Monkey Island, situated across from the lodge on the Madre de Dios River. Search for the family of capuchin monkeys inhabiting this island.

Embark on an exciting search for white alligators along the Madre de Dios River. With flashlights in hand, you may also spot the Capybara, the world’s largest rodent. Return to the lodge for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Day 2Sandoval Lake

Enjoy your final breakfast amidst the soothing sounds of the rainforest at the lodge. After breakfast, pack your belongings and prepare for departure. Our staff will assist you with a smooth transfer back to the city, where you’ll continue your journey either to the airport or bus station. Our three-day adventure at Monte Amazon Lodge was an incredible experience! On Day 1, we started with a scenic cruise along the Madre de Dios River to the lodge, where we were welcomed with a refreshing fruit juice. The introductory rainforest walk was mesmerizing, with our knowledgeable guides pointing out toucans, macaws, and capuchin monkeys on Monkey Island. The evening’s search for white alligators and capybaras along the river was thrilling, ending with a delicious dinner at the lodge.

Day 2 took us on a jungle trek to the stunning Sandoval Lake. Gliding across the serene waters in a paddle canoe, we spotted piranhas, howler monkeys, and even the elusive giant otters. After a traditional lunch, we relaxed and enjoyed the breathtaking sunset over the Madre de Dios River. On the final day, the canopy walkway offered panoramic views and a chance to see tropical birds up close. Our early morning walk was a perfect ending to our rainforest adventure.
